Be a Waka star in the bro Town movie
4th, August 2009
What do Scribe, Helen Clark, John Campbell, and Neil and Tim Finn have in common? They’ve all appeared on the hit local television series, bro’Town – and they will soon be joined by one lucky Waka Pacific bus customer.
Waka Pacific’s ‘Be a Waka star’ competition started on Monday 03 August, and lasts for four weeks. The winner will have a caricature of themselves created to appear in the up-coming bro’Town movie alongside the boys from Morningside and a host of other stars.
To enter, customers simply text the unique code from their Waka Pacific ticket to 3683.
They can enter as many times as they like, provided they purchase a ticket and submit a different unique number for each trip taken.
Waka Pacific General Manager Warren Fowler says he expects the competition to be incredibly popular, given the strong following in South Auckland for the successful animated series.
“Our people received great feedback from the community after our buses appeared in three episodes of bro’Town series five,” says Warren.
“So, we expect this ‘money can’t buy’ prize to have your caricature in the highly anticipated bro’Town movie will generate a lot of excitement.”
The major prize draw will take place on Monday 31 August 2009 from all valid entries received during the competition period. Full competition details can be found at http://www.wakapacific.co.nz
